Pastor James Salton and now Pastor Florence Salton were married in February 1970. Through her devotion to Christ, Brother James Salton accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in his life. He was anointed as a prophet and pastor to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. Pastor James Salton started his ministry in 1974 with only seven members. They met in various homes, schools and other locations as the ministry grew. At all these locations many souls were saved, filled with the Holy Ghost, healed, delivered and set free by the Power of God. Sister Salton served beside him as a dedicated and virtuous woman. She assisted him in the praise and worship services and supported Pastor Salton in his Healing and Deliverance ministry. In June of 1983, Pastor James Salton and the Prayer House Congregation moved to 1113 McClure Road in the Whitehaven area. Pastor James Salton went home to be with the Lord in December of 1998. Brother Issac Garmon, who was the assistant pastor at the time, was appointed to be the Pastor but was also called home to be with the Lord in March of 1999. Sister Florence Salton accepted her call by the Lord to be Pastor of the Prayer House of Deliverance Ministry. Pastor Florence Salton is the lead Pastor, President of the Board of Trustees, and still preaching the word of God today. We were instructed by our late founder to stick together and look unto Jesus for our help.
